Ordsall We don't want people like that living in our communities.

Ordsall We are shocked that it could happen in our city and hope the person who did this is brought to justice fast.

Ordsall The family and friends of the young man killed, with deepest sympathy, for your loss, and to let them know we salfordians feel their pain.

Ordsall I feel ashamed that I live in a place where something so terrible can happen. I ask my community to show solidarity+the family for forgiveness.

Ordsall I would like to ask the mothers of Orsall what they want for their kids' future

Ordsall I would like to tell all the people reading this that there is a vigil on Tuesday 2nd Jan 6 to 9 at the spot where Anuj was killed.

Ordsall I would like to say to the young people of Ordsall that walking around with a gun in your pocket is not a very tough or even a very brave thing to do

Ordsall I would aplogise to all who suffered from this terrible act. I know that most Ordsall people are very good neighbours. I am wishing for Ordsall peace.

Ordsall - a looming sphere of iridescent colours lighting up the surrounding cityscape with a warm glow of light.

Ordsall I'm not one for anything to fussy, so I'd just have A large Chrome letter S.

Ordsall I love the way Antony Gormley's metallic figures in 'Another Place' are absorbed by the sea. Could our Salford scene also interact with the environment?

Ordsall Salford could be celebrated by remembering the people who lived and worked here, high and low, important and ordinary. We need a plethora of blue plaque

Ordsall Totemic stack of caricatures of eminent figures in Salford's past, inc my favourite, Joseph Brotherton. Massive; down by the quays. I could make it!

Ordsall A safe and sound, redbrick ruin- once St Ignatius Church. Like those in Rome. A reminder and a celebration of Salford's architectural history.

Ordsall A great, big, shiny (reflective) 1 - for Salford, City of Firsts. On the Regent/Trafford rd roundabout.

Ordsall A crumbling pyramid that ends up with everyone standing next to each other at the same level.

Ordsall From creative writing group. A fountain of ideas from anyone sitting on a seat by it.

Ordsall A fleet of Rickshaws, shaped, decorated, driven, audioed, and used, according to the wishes of Ordsall People.A monument to creativity and prosperity.

Ordsall Lovely virtual monument description from Amy Feneck on salfordcityradio.org The Jam, play again. Part of the 7 sites project.

Ordsall I don't like monuments, I think they often lose their purpose over time, so I'd like to see something that will be everchanging and that's made out of the flotsam and jettsam of salford life. A film here, a photo there, a piece of a fence that came down during the looting at the precinct, some of the bees from ordsall bee garden, some text by mike scantlebury, a painting of the river irwell, a plastic bag from morrisons, a sea shanty from the docks. I'd like to see a multifaceted installation that people can add to and change and take things away from, a kind of mobile room of curious things from salford. It could also incorporate random performances from groups of all kinds, schools, rock bands, chapel st musicians, salford arts theatre groups, older people dancing, diverse communities sharing their cultural traditions. A melange of salford!
